Diagnosis and Treatment for Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders – in Spanish

When it comes to sharing important information about your medical diagnosis, we do not want anything to be lost in translation. That is why the Northwestern Medicine Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Center at Northwestern Memorial Hospital offers a culturally sensitive clinic for patients and families who prefer to discuss their medical care in Spanish.

If you have received a diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease or another movement disorder, you and your family deserve to learn about treatment options in the language with which you are most comfortable. Our Spanish-speaking Movement Disorders team aims to improve your quality of life by providing the most advanced care and treatment possible, in a language you prefer.

Many of our patients prefer to communicate about their health care in Spanish, and many also want discussions of their medical care to include family members who prefer speaking Spanish. Our goal is for you to understand your diagnosis and the treatment options available to you.
